On Monday 24th February, the Vatican announced that a daily evening Rosary will be prayed in St Peter’s Square at 9.00pm local time, (8.00pm GMT) for the Holy Father’s intentions.

Our schools are encouraged to include prayers for Pope Francis in our daily prayer and celebrations of the word and perhaps to also add a decade of the Rosary at some time during the school day.

May the Lord preserve him, and give him life;

make his name blessed on the face of the earth,

and deliver him not into the will of his enemies.
