25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, 26 and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

John 11: 25-26 ESV

Beginning with All Saints’ Day, followed by the celebration of All Souls’ Day, the whole month of November is dedicated to Holy Souls.

Throughout November: we pray for those who have died; we ask for the intercession of the communion of saints and; on the final Sunday of the Church’s Liturgical year, we celebrate the solemnity of Christ The King and World Youth Sunday.

The Pope’s Prayer Intentions for November:

For the prevention of suicide
Let us pray that those who are struggling with suicidal thoughts might find the support, care, and love they need in their community, and be open to the beauty of life.

On World Mental Health Day in October 2021 Pope Francis said:

I would like to remember our brothers and sisters affected by mental disorders and also the victims, often young, of suicide. Let us pray for them and for their families, so that they are not left alone or discriminated against, but welcomed and supported.

Resources on the prevention of suicide can be found here via Papyrus UK, including a ‘Need Help‘ button for confidential suicide prevention advice.

Further resources for mental health support for all ages can be found here via Mind’s website.
